Michael is Partner and Co-Head of Asia at LeapFrog Investments, a specialist investor in emerging markets, seeking the growth opportunity presented by two billion emerging consumers in Africa and Asia. Michael also co-heads LeapFrog’s healthcare practice globally.
The former Country Head for India and Healthcare lead for Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia’s sovereign fund, Michael was responsible for over $700 million of investments in India, across hospitals, diagnostic clinics and medical education. He transformed Khazanah’s healthcare investments consolidating them under a single platform, Integrated Healthcare Holdings (IHH), today one of Asia’s leading listed healthcare providers. Prior to Khazanah, Michael led the global CRAMS business for the Piramal Healthcare Group.
Prior to Piramal, Michael was a Partner at McKinsey & Co and served as a member of the global leadership group for the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical practice.
